FAQs
  • Google Shopping is a comparison shopping engine that allows shoppers to find similar items across multiple retailers. This feature appears in the mobile app and desktop web browser versions of Google Search. In addition, it appears on the Google Home device and Android Wear smartwatch.
The feature includes three main components:
    - A list of retailers where you can buy the item.
    - Images of each product.
    - Product information such as brand names, prices, descriptions, ratings, and reviews.

Google Shopping does not show individual seller prices; rather, it displays the lowest price among sellers offering the same item. For example, if there are four different products offered by five different merchants, Google Shopping might display the best deal from one merchant, while showing no prices from the others.
  • Google Shopping offers businesses a way to promote their products online without having to build out their own ecommerce site. Instead, you can simply upload product images and descriptions into Google Merchant Center and let Google do the rest. You don't even need a website to sell your goods; you just need to make sure your product listings are optimized for shopping.

The main benefit of Google Shopping is that it allows you to reach customers directly—and it's free. If you're looking to boost sales, there's no better option than Google Shopping.
  • Google Shopping ads are now appearing on Google Search. These ads will show along side regular text ads and organic search results. They can also appear near the top of the page, on the right side of the page, or next to the text ad and organic results. This change is part of our ongoing efforts to improve shopping experiences across Google products.

The ads themselves look like normal text ads and follow the same rules for placement and formatting. You can control whether you want to see Shopping ads on a per-product basis or globally.

You'll still be able to find Shopping ads within the Shopping tab on Google.com/shopping. From there, you can manage your campaigns, view performance data, and edit settings.
  • Google Shopping is a service that allows you to list your products on the search engine. You can choose from different categories and even add images of your product. When someone searches for something, they will be able to see all the results in one place. This means that if there are multiple sellers offering the same item, it will appear at the top of the page. If you want to make sure that only your listing shows up, you can set your pricing so that it is higher than other sellers' prices.
  • You can sell any number of different types of items through Google Shopping. Examples include clothes, electronic gadgets, books, household items, accessories, furnishings, and so forth. The main thing to keep in mind is to ensure that your products are available for sale.
  • Since you can select from prices per click starting at $0.01 and Google Shopping is free for small orders, there is plenty of room to experiment. It’s up to you whether you want to spend $1 or $100K. It all comes down to your budget and the return on investment (ROI) delivered by your ad campaigns.
